  • Location: Remote

  • Hours: 15 to 18 hours per week

  • Duration: 6 months


**This is an unpaid internship. The Internship qualifies for Academic or Fieldwork Credit. Please speak with your college professor or advisor.**

Our Community Department is seeking Case Management Interns! You will work on a variety of duties, such as:

  • Interact with and support faculty, students, school administrators, and alumni to support the mission and goals of the Community Departments and Programs.

  • Demonstrate an understanding and consideration of the differing needs and concerns of individuals with varying identities, cultures, and backgrounds

  • Identify, evaluate, and propose solutions to our community-focused program areas that need special attention

  • Collaborate with the Community Department team to come up with strategies to help our program and services succeed 

  • Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of our non-profit organization

  • Manage program evaluation activities, including feedback from students, parents, interns, and volunteers in our program 

  • Help with matching; mentee : mentor |  tutee : tutor | mentee : coach 

  • Take a lead role in exploring community collaborations and developing supplemental support services for youth

  • Ensure that program services are carried out, such as class and program activities 

  • Participate in intern development opportunities

  • Organize group activities and attendance sheets 

  • Update school documentation ( i.e referral forms, and parent consent forms)

  • Upload documentations on CMS [content management software - training provided by HR Department] 

  • Assist with collecting and organizing referral

  • Assist with managing and organizing caseload

  • Assist with organizing material for parent workshops and professional development workshops for teachers.

  • Assist with keeping the spreadsheet data organized, and the google folder organized 

  • Other case management task as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Candidates should be enrolled in a degree program in  Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Social Service, Human Service, Medicine, Entrepreneurship, or related field

  • Strong written, verbal communication and empathetic skills are essential as Interns will often communicating with their team members, supervisors, and clients
