Location: Remote
Hours: 15 to 18 hours per week
Duration: 6 months
**This is an unpaid internship. The Internship qualifies for Academic or Fieldwork Credit. Please speak with your college professor or advisor.**
Our Community Department is seeking Case Management Interns! You will work on a variety of duties, such as:
Interact with and support faculty, students, school administrators, and alumni to support the mission and goals of the Community Departments and Programs.
Demonstrate an understanding and consideration of the differing needs and concerns of individuals with varying identities, cultures, and backgrounds
Identify, evaluate, and propose solutions to our community-focused program areas that need special attention
Collaborate with the Community Department team to come up with strategies to help our program and services succeed
Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of our non-profit organization
Manage program evaluation activities, including feedback from students, parents, interns, and volunteers in our program
Help with matching; mentee : mentor | tutee : tutor | mentee : coach
Take a lead role in exploring community collaborations and developing supplemental support services for youth
Ensure that program services are carried out, such as class and program activities
Participate in intern development opportunities
Organize group activities and attendance sheets
Update school documentation ( i.e referral forms, and parent consent forms)
Upload documentations on CMS [content management software - training provided by HR Department]
Assist with collecting and organizing referral
Assist with managing and organizing caseload
Assist with organizing material for parent workshops and professional development workshops for teachers.
Assist with keeping the spreadsheet data organized, and the google folder organized
Other case management task as assigned
Qualifications:
Candidates should be enrolled in a degree program in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Social Service, Human Service, Medicine, Entrepreneurship, or related field
Strong written, verbal communication and empathetic skills are essential as Interns will often communicating with their team members, supervisors, and clients
